It is now a week later, and it must obviously be running through everyone's minds that Miss Quirkyanything is a big FAT, Nigerian phony, who cannot keep her promises.
But ahhhh well. For the upteenth time on this here blog, I fall at the feet of you lovely people in blogsphere and beg for mercy. The upside to this hiatus (obviously inflicted upon me by the government AGAIN), however, is that I have a whole lot of information to let loose on here.
Screaaamm for joy people! I am going to write/type/speak/ lace you with more incoherent psychobabble!
Ohhh...kay. So much has happened within the space of a week. Amy Winehouse is dead at twenty seven, and her father already wrote her eulogy in 2008, whilst I am still here carrying on with my life, still torn between colouring my hair either burgundy or strawberry blonde. Yep. I want to become ginger. But that's another story for another blog post people...
So Amy's death has reallly shaken me to my very core, because I was a big fan of the little lady with the terrible problems and unshakeable demons. I always rooted for her; always likened her situation to Ray Charles' in my very warped mind, and prayed that she would turn her life around and wow all the naysayers.
But alas, like other tortured, yet incongruously talented humans like herself (Think Kurt, Jimmy, Janis), she is gone. Way too soon.
Can't say I didn't see this coming, but it is still saddening nonetheless.
Thus, in tribute to Ms Winehouse, I leave you with the distinct, heart stopping voice that made us love this lady, demons and all.
